Chainsaw modelling:

One of the most important props that will be included in the film will be a chainsaw. Not only does this model have to be effective and fit to the style, it also will have to be rigged as the blades will have to move. this means that I will have to make all of the topology as simple as possible, both for UV mapping, and rigging.

This was the initial design that I was given by ben:

As this will be a very complicated prop to model I then created some blueprints for the chainsaw so that I have a better idea of its dimensions:

Creating these blueprints really helped me to then start to model the chainsaw, this is my initial modelling:

So far, this is the modelling that I am most proud of as I think it is very stylised but not such much as to make it unrecognisable as a chainsaw. I also managed to keep the topology fairly simple so that when it comes to UV mapping and rigging it, it shouldn't cause to many problems.
